Recommended with Asian-Spiced Meatballs and Noodles

This is one of my very favorite dishes!  I made it on Tuesday, and can't get enough of it.  The recipe is very easy and quick to make, and it's got noodles in it, so it's an immediate winner with me.  The sauce is actually my favorite part of the dish.  It tastes so good, I almost always overeat when I make this!  Here's the recipe from Bev Cooks!

I've used two different kinds of noodles with this recipe.  Japanese soba noodles have a softer bite than spaghetti and are pretty slippery, so the sauce doesn't stick well.  Korean glass noodles have a strange texture to most American palates, but the sauce sticks to them like glue.  Let me know if you try it!

Recommended with a New Original Trail Mix!

Caleb and I went camping this past weekend, and we each made our own personal trail mix to take along.  I used this recipe from Chow.com as a springboard, and then I made plenty of adjustments.  And so, I'm sharing my first ever original recipe!

Follow all the directions listed on Chow, but you can use the ingredients below for a healthier version.  I used coconut oil for vegetable oil, agave nectar for honey, and I took out the brown sugar because coconut oil is sweet on its own, and I don't like very sweet snacks anyway.  I also made a smaller batch than Chow suggested, so my measurements are different.  And then for my add ins, I chose my favorites tasty things that, when combined, made the perfect summery, sweet and salty combination.  (I believe I added some salt at the end to tweak the taste a bit.)

Recommended for Memorial Day Weekend + Petunias in Trouble!

Guys, this week I found aphids on my petunias!  I washed them off in the shower, and then sprayed them with a water + dish detergent mixture to keep them away.  The mixture is only effective when wet, so I made some more to use again just yesterday, but I must have put in too much dish detergent, because look at them now!
