My Work Space (and My Dream Work Space)

As it turns out, I do a lot of my blogging while in my work office, either on my lunch breaks or after closing time.  I've only got a laptop at home and no desk, and using the desktop computer at work makes a big difference.  It has been absolutely necessary, therefore, that I set up the space so it's relaxed, creative, and not too terribly professional.

A Cooking Conversion Printable!

Don't you love this measurement conversion chart?  Sugar and Charm is giving away this beautiful goodness for free!  I'm printed mine out yesterday, and it's going to be sticking to my fridge with a magnet for a while, but I'd like to get it in a standing frame for one of my kitchen corners.

Recommended for Mid-April

I recently read up on some of the Royal Family, just for kicks, and I would like to present to you the members of the Royal Family with the coolest Wikipedia profile pics.Sophie, Countess of Wessex
Prince Michael of Kent
George V
(King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions, and Emperor of India!)

I also found out the ranks of European royalty and nobility (aka ranks of peerage?).

I found where I can buy Middle Eastern-inspired decor for my home.  Joss and Main has lots of different styles available ("Rough-hewn & Romantic," "The Eclectic Collector," "By the Shore..."), but I'm always a sucker for things like these in the "Bohemian Elements" look book:

These items were listed on Joss and Main on April 15, 2014.  I think the available items rotate, so these things might not still be in stock, but I am confident that the warehouse would always have good things.
Caleb and I just decided that we are going to Spoleto in Charleston this year.  We're both so excited, and I can't wait to share our experiences with you!  Do you have any exciting things coming up?

Things for My Home

Caleb and I have been following Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace principles, and I am so proud that we are almost finished paying of one of our debts!  One of the things our personal financial counselor suggested was to celebrate once we reached one of our goals!

Caleb and I have decided that for each of the small loans we pay off, before we move that debt money on to help pay for the next debt, we're going to take one month to spend  that money on something for us.  In April, we're going to take the money we've been using each month to pay off our car to buy some home improvement things.

I won't be the only one making these decisions, and we should really buy another set of silverware and plates (we only have 4 of each thing), and more towels that match our color scheme, but here are my other, more fun ideas.

Our New Apartment!

Caleb and I moved in the Monday after our wedding!  We've found a cozy,  but not too small, one bedroom flat in downtown Atlanta.  My morning commute, including walking to the parking garages, is less than 20 minutes!  That might be my favorite part about the apartment, but I also like the small balcony where I can journal when I get home earlier than Caleb.  It overlooks a very nicely kept courtyard.  I also like the carpet in the living and bedroom and the wood in the bathroom and kitchen.  There's tile right in front of main door with a closet beside (which I kind of what to turn into a shoe closet like we had in Korea).
