With Black Friday just around the corner and holiday shopping gearing up around the hemisphere, I wanted to share some causes I care about and great ways to support them while getting presents for family and friends!
LiNK funds rescues and resettling of North Korean refugees escaping from their government's violation of human rights.
Burgundy tank (no longer available) / Cherry blossom printed canvas / LiNK notebook (no longer available)
(Tumbler (no longer available) and coffee shown in top picture)
100% of all purchases in LiNK's store goes to the cause.
Matterial Fix makes the statement that girls matter by giving to charities that combat child prostitution in India and the lack of education for girls in Peru.
(Necklace, bangle, and ring shown in first picture)
10% of all purchases in Matterial Fix's store goes to its causes.
International Princess Project : Punjammies
International Princess Project provides a safe place where escaped sex trafficking victims in India learn sewing as a trade and receive higher than fair wages for the Punjammies they create, medical care, housing, and restorative community.
Bhavani capri with pockets / Uma shorts / Preethi full pants with border (I have these!)
(Capris shown in first picture)
100% of the proceeds are re-invested into the company and community.
Sevenly
Sevenly partners with artists to bring out a new shirt design each week to bring awareness to that week's new cause. Previous causes have included building wells in India, sponsoring adventure vacations for terminally ill patients, and Autism advocacy and research, to name a few.
Adventure V neck / Benson bag / Teddy beanie no longer available
(Also no longer available are the print and leather journal shown in first picture)
$7 of every purchase goes to that week's cause or other specified causes. This week's cause is saving and improving the lives of people suffering from muscular dystrophy and sponsoring a camp for children with the disease.
(Please note that many items Sevenly sells are special edition. The items pictured above may no longer be available.)
Do you have any shops to add to the list? I'd love to hear. What causes do you care about? Do you have any "give back" presents on your wish list?
