I received my brow kit just yesterday and was able to try it out this morning. Now I've only ever used one other brow product, ELF's brow kit with the floppy brush. That kit and my natural brows are all I have to compare to. Without further ado, here we go!
I didn't realize that the makeup would come with its own brush! The brush is nice and stiff, which is very helpful for a direct application and blending. As you can see in the instructions, you brush into the white colored wax first. The wax doesn't show up white on your skin, it's just used to better pick up the powder you want. I went with the darkest powder for my first go, and I'm really glad I did, because even the darkest powder wasn't as dark as my actual eyebrows. I'm using the Brunette pallet, but my hair is close to black. I was able to blend in the product just fine, and once everything was set and ready for the day, I didn't notice a color difference between the makeup and my dark, dark brows.
I snapped some before and after pictures for you and for science.
Not too bad for an early morning face! The final picture, by the way, the one with my eyes wide open, shows me with almost all my regular makeup on along with the brow makeup. I usually wear mascara, but I just hadn't gotten to it in time for the picture.
I like the 2+1 for Brow set. Like I said, once I blend in the makeup with my eyebrows, I can't see a color difference, and I look fine. I really like how build-able the color is. It doesn't take much to add color with this makeup, and if you want more, adding more is easy, too. The $26 price tag is on the higher middle end of usual brow makeup, but I bet this stuff will last me a long time. Also, dat brush. I love the brush! It works so well with the 2+1 for Brow set, and I wouldn't want to use anything else to apply the makeup with.
This brow set comes in four different colors: blond, brunette, neutral, and red. Each comes with the white colored wax and two colored powders. If you wish to try it out, you can get a FREE $24 brow brush (the awesome one I was telling you about) by entering the code BROWBRUSH with your 2+1 for Brows purchase! Filling in brows is an art I have yet to master, but it can make a big difference. It's something I want to learn for more special occasions when I really want to highlight all of my features. Thanks for letting me know about this product. :)
